April 2019 Lowband Contest Results

There were 19 entries this year, broadly in line with 2018. This time we had more than one entry on 2300MHz, which is very welcome.

This year there was relatively little continental DX available, so the best DX column reads like a who's who of UK microwave activity.

On 1296MHz  M0HNA/P was the winner with Gordon GI6ATZ as runner-up. The best DX was 612km between G6TRM/P and GI6ATZ. The leading low power station was Graham G3YJR.

On 2320MHz  Julian M0UGA/P was able to concentrate all his efforts on the band and this paid off with the leading position. Denis G3UVR was close behind as runner-up. Best DX was between M0UGA/P and GM4JTJ at 549km.

M0HNA/P won 3.4GHz, with David M0GHZ as runner-up.

The overall winner was the Combe Gibberlets group M0HNA/P consisting of G3TCU, G4SJH, and G1EHF, who won three bands. Overall runner up and leading fixed station is David M0GHZ.

Certificates go to the overall Winner M0HNA/P and Runner-up M0GHZ and to the following winners:

1296MHz   M0HNA/P, GI6ATZ, G3YJR (Low Power)

2320MHz   M0UGA/P, G3UVR

3400MHz   M0HNA/P, M0GHZ
